rI have almost 30 years’ experience in project development & commissioning TV & film in BBC NI, RTÉ, & as a freelancer. I began my career as a reader for Ken Loach & Working Title Films & have been committed to bringing new voices (writers, directors & producers) to the small & big screen ever since.

Over the years I developed, script edited & managed several new series & serials onto BBC Two & Irish PBS RTÉ, including several international co-productions. In addition I pre-bought Irish feature films including ONCE, ADAM AND PAUL & THE SECRET OF KELLS. I commissioned 100s of short films, live action & animated. For RTÉ I created StoryLand, to develop creative teams & their engagement with audience. Under my direction,  23 original web series were commissioned including the hugely successful HARDY BUCKS, which I subsequently brought onto TV, that series sold to Netflix.

I produced the feature documentary UNDER THE CLOCK  & the animated short film ABE'S STORY.

I am involved in the innovative Virgin Media Discovers, in association with Screen Ireland, that is committed to discovering different voices in film. And the Kerry Short Film Bursary aimed at supporting creatives in the Kerry region.

As a trainer I designed and deliver a Certificate in Writing TV Drama that is also a 20 credit module on the MA in Screenwriting at the National Film School, IADT. I also deliver classes on idea identification to the European Film Masters, Kinoeyes in Napier College Edinburgh. Other clients include WGI.
